GrantsAlot ("we," "our," "the service") is operated by ProgJ LLC in the United States. It helps organizations find grant funders and draft letters, narratives and budgets, in the iPhone/iPad/Mac app and on the website at grantsalot.com. This page describes what we collect, who else handles it, and how to control it.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and a password (stored only as an irreversible hash, never in plain text).
• Organization profile: your organization's name, mission, address, phone number, email, website, EIN, budget, focus areas, and the details used in letters and narratives, such as the name and title of the person who signs, programs, results, and past funders.
• Grant and document content: grants you save, your drafts and sent letters (with revision history), narratives and budgets, and the questions you type into the service.
• Subscription information: for App Store purchases, the receipt Apple provides. For website purchases, your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference. We never see or store your payment card number.
• Usage counts: how many AI requests your account has used, to apply the free allowance.
• Network address: the address your requests come from is used briefly to limit sign-in and sign-up abuse. It is held in the server's memory for that purpose and is not saved in your account. Our web server does not write visitors' addresses to its logs. Cloudflare, which delivers traffic to our servers, sees the address as part of its service and handles it under its own policy.

None of this is used for advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers.

Who else handles your data

We use these service providers. Each handles data under its own terms.

• NVIDIA (AI processing): your organization profile, grant details, letter and document content, funder page text and your questions are sent in prompts to NVIDIA's AI service to generate funder research, fit rankings, drafts and answers. This is the core function of the service; without it the AI features cannot work.
• Voyage AI (search): the text of a funder search, which can be built from your focus areas and service area, is sent to Voyage AI to match it to funders by meaning.
• Resend (email): your email address and the message are sent through Resend when we email you (see Email below).
• Cloudflare (network and security): traffic between your device and our servers passes through Cloudflare.
• Stripe (website payments): when you subscribe on the website, Stripe collects your payment details and tells us your subscription status.
• Apple (App Store purchases): Apple handles payment for subscriptions bought in the app.
• Cal.com (booking a call): if you choose to book a free call with us, Cal.com collects your name, email address, phone number if you give one, your organization's name, and the answers you type into the booking form, and shares them with us. Booking is optional, and we do not record the calls.

We also look up public information: IRS and ProPublica nonprofit filings, Grants.gov, SAM.gov, USAspending.gov and funders' own public web pages. When you verify your organization, your EIN is sent to ProPublica's nonprofit database to look it up. Other than that, your profile is not sent to these public sources.

Where it's stored and how long

Your account and organization data are stored on servers we operate in the United States. A copy of your grants, letters and chat history is also kept on your device for offline use, and is deleted when you sign out.

Our database is backed up each night, and each backup is deleted after 14 days. Apple and Stripe keep their own payment records under their own policies.

Email

We send emails that you need for your account (password reset, confirming your email address). Unless you turn it off in Settings, we also email you when something you started, such as a search or a letter, is ready. We do not send marketing email.

Your controls

• Edit or clear any organization profile field at any time.
• Delete your account in Settings (in the app or on the website). This removes your account and everything tied to it from our database right away; copies in nightly backups are gone within 14 days.
• Turn email notices on or off in Settings.
• For any other request about your data, email [email protected].
• Signing out clears the copy on your device; your account and data on our servers are unaffected.

Who may use it

GrantsAlot is a business tool for staff of organizations in the United States, and is offered in the United States only. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above.
